This is a suit brought by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) against General Electric Company (defendant) pursuant to § 706(f)(1) and (3) of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 42 U.S.C. § 2000e-5(f)(1) and (3), as amended by Public Law 92-261 (March 24, 1972).
