Appellant Johnny Frank Griffin and his brothers, James Griffin, Jr. and David Griffin, were jointly indicted in the Circuit Court of Monroe County for the crime of murder in the killing of Sallie Loreen Barker. Appellant was granted severance, and on trial, he was convicted. He was sentenced to life imprisonment in the State Penitentiary.
