SANDERS, Chief Justice.

Defendants, Jimmy Wayne and Charlotte Devall, were charged with possession of opium with intent to distribute. LSA-R.S. 40:967(A). After being tried by jury, defendants were found guilty. Jimmy Wayne Devall received a ten year sentence, and the Court deferred sentence as to Charlotte Devall for five years, placing her on active probation for a similar period.
