BARHAM, Justice.

Defendant was convicted after a trial by jury of manslaughter, a violation of R.S. 14:31, and was sentenced to eighteen years' imprisonment. Upon this appeal, defendant relies on five bills of exceptions for a reversal of his conviction and sentence.
