L.T. Thorson, the plaintiff-appellant, instituted this action to recover $6,638.98, claimed as a loan to defendant-respondent Joe Studer. Defendant, Joe Studer, answered the complaint and counterclaimed for sums allegedly due under a cattle feeding agreement with plaintiff amounting to $6,764.64, for $600 rent on a house rented to the plaintiff, and for $225.00 for a calf of Studer's sold by Thorson.
