On February 9, 1968, John Rorer was robbed and fatally beaten at his place of business in Canton, Mississippi. John Isonhood was convicted of being an accessory before the fact to the robbery by the Circuit Court of Madison County and sentenced to serve thirty years in the state penitentiary.
