Robert Leroy Fields was convicted of perjury in the First Judicial District of Hinds County and sentenced to serve a term of three years in the State Penitentiary. A motion for a new trial was timely made by appellant on April 9, 1971, which was taken under advisement by the trial judge. On October 15, 1971, the motion was overruled.
