Petitioner had for some time been employed at the St. Lawrence State Hospital when she was injured in the course of her duties on April 17, 1967. After exhausting her paid sick leave, she was granted leave without pay commencing August 31, 1967. When this leave expired, petitioner did not return to her position, and was deemed to have resigned as of October 18, 1968.
