Defendant Loren Craig Sims was convicted of murder in the first degree under the "felony murder" rule1 for the death of Linda Huntsman which resulted in connection with perpetrating the crime of rape on her on the night of March 22, 1971, at an apartment on Highland Drive in Salt Lake City.
