SULLIVAN, Judge.

Defendant-appellant John A. Johnson (Johnson) was convicted of theft following trial by the court without a jury.

The indictment brought against Johnson charged that:

"... John A. Johnson on or about the 28th day of May, A.D. 1971, at and in the County of Marion and in the State of Indiana, committed the crime of theft in that he knowingly, unlawfully and feloniously obtained property, to-wit: Money of the value of Two Thousand Two...
