This appeal is brought by defendant G.M. Newman, also known as Jack Newman, from his conviction of involutary manslaughter in connection with the death of his wife, Elsie Newman, in the district court of the eighteenth judicial district, Gallatin County. He appeals from the final judgment and sentence of seven years imprisonment.

The Newmans were married in 1937. At the time of her death Elsie Newman was 53 years of age, Newman was 56 years...
