Respondent determined a deficiency of $16,822.93 in petitioner's Federal income tax for the year 1967.

At issue is the proper treatment of payments totaling $35,051.25 received in 1967 by petitioner's president and sole shareholder from the Hamilton Oil Company. We must decide, first, whether the payments represent rebates or discounts on gasoline purchases...
