Defendant was indicted for the crimes of criminal possession of a weapon as a felony and reckless endangerment, first degree (Penal Law, §§ 265.05, 120.25). The indictment charges the defendant with pointing a loaded, cocked "sawed-off" shotgun at another person by laying it on the floor under the front seat of an automobile pointed towards the driver. At the time of arraignment, bail was set in the amount of $50,000, and the issue of the excessiveness of this bail...
