WOLLMAN, Justice.

Defendant was charged with the murder of one Lila Mae Scott. He was convicted by a jury of first degree manslaughter and was sentenced to 42 years' imprisonment in the state penitentiary.

Viewed in the light most favorable to the verdict, the evidence revealed that Lila Mae Scott, age 15, was dropped off by a friend at Boyd's Grocery, located on Highway 77 just north of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, at approximately 6:45 p. m., Sunday, September...
