The judgment in this matter was signed on Thursday, August 3, 1972. The last day for applying for a new trial under LSA-C.C.P. 1974 was August 8, 1972. Since this is an appeal from a judgment awarding alimony, it must be taken within the thirty days provided by LSA-C.C.P. 3942. This thirty day period expired on September 7, 1972.
