The appellant and Jerry Strong were jointly indicted by the Forsyth County Grand Jury for the murder of Robert Glenn Cagle, Sr., in the commission of an armed robbery. Another indictment charged the appellant with theft by taking of the deceased's property, and, in a separate trial from the co-indictee on both charges, appellant was found guilty by a jury of felony murder and theft by taking.
