REYNOLDSON, Justice.

Following jury trial, defendant was convicted of assault with intent to commit robbery. He appeals and we affirm.

At about 1:30 A.M. on July 12, 1972, two men attempted to rob a service station attendant in Waterloo, Iowa. They ran into the building, their faces covered with nylon hose masks, each armed with a sawed-off shotgun. Jenkins, the 18 year-old attendant, responded to the demand for money by telling them (truthfully) the money...
