The petitioner in this certiorari proceeding is a physician and the chief of staff of the Providence Lying-In Hospital. He seeks a reversal of a Superior Court justice's denial of his motion to quash or stay a subpoena ordering him to appear and testify before a grand jury sitting in Providence. The subpoena, he believes, is the result of newspaper articles describing procedures that have been practiced at Lying-In and which may...
