This suit involves a dispute over a one-fourth interest in the Succession of Spencer Walker who died intestate. The contested issue in the district court was whether the second marriage of Willie Huey, a half brother of Spencer Walker, was a putative marriage in which case the descendants of the putative marriage would inherit along with the descendants of Huey's first marriage.
