In July, 1970, appellants and co-defendant Pat Presley, all Mississippi residents at the time of the alleged offenses, were indicted for offenses in connection with the operation of a gambling casino in Mississippi on various dates between July, 1965, and January, 1966.1 The appellant, Sam Presley, Sr. owned the Sage Patch Casino in Jackson County, Mississippi, and the other appellants were his employees.
