Judgment reversed, on the law and as a matter of discretion in the interest of justice, and new trial ordered.

In a one-count indictment, defendant was charged with felonious possession of a loaded pistol. At the trial, one of the prosecution's witnesses, a detective, produced during cross-examination an "unusual occurrence" report which he had prepared as a result of defendant's arrest. This report concededly contained an entry contradicting a portion of the detective...
