BEILFUSS, J.

The defendants' contention is that it was prejudicial error not to suppress their confessions given shortly after an illegal arrest and that without the confessions the evidence was wholly inadequate to sustain the convictions.

Prior to trial the defendants moved to suppress the confessions upon the grounds the arrests were illegal and that the confessions taken about an hour thereafter...
