Mrs. Corine Milam, for herself and the other heirs at law of Harold Milam, deceased, sued Gulf, Mobile & Ohio Railroad Company (GM&O) and Elliott H. Stokes in the Circuit Court of the First Judicial District of Jones County, Mississippi, for the wrongful death of her 17 year old son, Harold Milam. Stokes paid Mrs. Milam $5500.00 and she took a nonsuit as to him. She then filed an amended declaration...
