Plaintiff, Robert V. Tamplain, was injured in a three-car collision on June 27, 1969, at the intersection of U.S. Highway 61 and Louisiana State Highway 53 near Reserve, Louisiana. A jury awarded him $33,187.35 against defendants Collinswood Poultry Company and its insurer, United States Fidelity and Guaranty Company. Of this amount, $30,000 was given for pain and suffering.
