Defendant was convicted in a nonjury trial of robbery armed, MCLA 750.529; MSA 28.797, on April 19, 1972 and sentenced to a prison term of 7-1/2 to 15 years. We reverse and set aside the conviction because we find that defendant was denied his constitutional right to a speedy trial. US Const, Am VI; Const 1963, art 1, § 20.
