Defendant was convicted by a jury of statutory rape, contrary to MCLA 750.520; MSA 28.788. He was first sentenced to five years to life in prison. This was subsequently altered to 5 to 15 years in prison. This case was remanded on February 7, 1972, to the trial court so defendant could file a delayed motion for new trial and have an evidentiary hearing. On remand...
