These three cases include two bills for declaratory and other relief: one brought by members of the fire department of the city of Taunton (the firemen's case), and one brought by members of the police department of the city of Taunton (the policemen's case). The city of Taunton and its mayor are defendants in each of these cases.2 The third case is a bill brought by the city and its mayor for review (G.L.c. 30A, § 14)...
