This is an action of contract and tort which was tried to a judge and jury of the Superior Court. Counts I and II of the plaintiff's declaration were respectively against Langis, Inc., formerly Signal Manufacturing Co. (Signal) and Nippal, Inc., formerly The Shetland Co. Inc. (Shetland) for breach of an employment contract. The jury returned a verdict for the plaintiff for $17,500 on each count. The contract counts are before us on Signal's and Shetland...
