Plaintiffs are the owners of a 13-acre tract of land zoned for single-family dwellings which is located in the Township of Harrison. Plaintiffs petitioned the township, hereinafter defendant, to rezone this parcel of land to a multiple-residential district. At the completion of its zoning procedures, defendant denied this petition. Plaintiffs instituted suit in the Macomb County Circuit
