This action for actual and punitive damages grew out of an automobile collision near Columbia, at an intersection where the flow of traffic was controlled by a conventional traffic light. The Plymouth automobile of the plaintiff, Larry G. Adams, was being driven by his wife, Eva Adams. The other automobile was owned by defendant William H.
