This is an indictment charging the defendant with a violation of G.L. 1956 (1969 Reenactment) § 11-41-4. The specific charge was that the defendant, by means of false pretenses with intent to cheat and defraud, unlawfully, knowingly, and designedly obtained and stole $9,300 from one, Cecelia Bessette.
