After a jury trial in the Circuit Court of Peoria County, the defendant, Mike Young, was convicted of aggravated battery. On Oct. 2, 1970 he was sentenced to a term of one to three years. A timely notice of appeal to the Supreme Court was filed, however, on March 29, 1972 the Supreme Court ordered the appeal dismissed for failure of appellant to file the record, abstract, or brief.
