Defendant Hyers was convicted of incest after a jury trial and sentenced to a term of three to five years in State Prison, Trenton. On March 12, 1970 he was released on bail of $5,000 by order of this court, pending disposition of his appeal. A bail bond was posted by the Stuyvesant Insurance Company but only after Stuyvesant had obtained a collateral guarantee from Walter and Florence Stringer, who are...
