On the afternoon or evening of January 14, 1969, Helen Walsh, a spinster over 75 years of age who lived alone, was the owner of more than 200 acres of land (on which she had lived for most of her lifetime) worth over $50,000 and personal property worth $8,000, all free of debt or encumbrances.
