The defendant was tried on an indictment charging manslaughter. The jury returned a verdict of guilty of "involuntary manslaughter." The case is before us on the defendant's appeal under G.L.c. 278, §§ 33A-33G. Error is alleged in permitting the assistant district attorney to pursue an improper line of questioning, in refusing to set aside the verdict, and in denying the defendant's motion for a new trial.
