On 19 August 1970, one Whitmore shot and killed Robert E. Thompson in a tavern owned and operated by the appellees, the Kanelopouloses, at which time the appellee Bryson was tending bar in the tavern. The appellants are the widow and the surviving children of Thompson and as plaintiffs they sue Whitmore, Bryson and the Kanelopouloses.
