GUNDERSON, Justice:

In this action for damages allegedly caused by false and fraudulent representations of tax expertise, the jury favored respondents with a verdict for compensatory and punitive damages. On appeal, appellants contend (1) that there was no evidence to justify a jury instruction relating to fraud; (2) that the verdict for punitive damages improperly exceeded the amount claimed in the prayer of respondents' original complaint; and...
