These two consolidated cases arise out of the same set of alleged occurrences, which need be briefly summarized prior to a discussion of the motions filed by various defendants. The Mirianis, plaintiffs in 72 C 1093, alleged that certain securities of theirs were stolen from their apartment on January 23, 1972.
