This suit seeks the reinstatement, award of back pay, and other relief for six black teachers, Alma Faye Chapman, Robert Bennett, Martha Faye Bolton, William Shelton, James A. Lewis, and Evelyn R. Miller, who were dismissed, or whose contracts were not renewed, for the 1971-72 school year by the Coffeeville Consolidated School District.
