Appellants were indicted with others for conspiracy to import cocaine (21 U. S.C. § 963), importation of cocaine (21 U.S.C. § 952(a)), and possession of cocaine with intent to distribute (21 U.S.C. § 841(a)(1)). Appellant Espinosa-Ochoa pled guilty to the conspiracy count of the indictment and was sentenced to eight years in prison with a special parol term of three years. Appellant Arenas-Granada pled not guilty, stood trial before a jury...
