OPINION

HERNANDEZ, Judge.

Defendants were convicted of larceny of property having a value in excess of $100.00 but less than $2500.00. Section 40A-16-1, N.M.S.A. 1953 (2d Repl.Vol. 6). Both defendants appeal and assert two points of error: (1) that the evidence does not show conclusively that the property taken had a value in excess of $100.00 and (2) that the trial court erred in permitting the owner of the store to testify as to the number of items taken...
