On June 26, 1972, the Appellant, Gerald Taylor, was charged by way of affidavit of the offense of vagrancy under IC 1971 35-1-110-2, Ind. Ann. Stat. § 10-4602 (Burns 1956). On June 26, 1972 the Appellant appeared in person before the trial court, waived arraignment and counsel, and pleaded guilty. Upon this plea of guilty the trial court sentenced the Appellant to a fine of $50.00 and costs.
