OPINION

KOELSCH, Circuit Judge:

Both parties have requested our instructions with respect to the allowance of interest on certain awards of attorneys' fees recovered by appellant in the district court and subsequently reduced by us on appeal.1 The question before us is the construction of "the date of the entry of the judgment," as provided in the federal postjudgment interest statute, 28 U.S.C. § 1961.
