This suit was filed by the corporate Appellee, Texas American Oil Corporation, for the balance due on a promissory note in the amount of $8,663.32 executed to it by its former president, Nash J. Dowdle. Our appellate controversy concerns the cross-action filed by Mr. Dowdle against the corporation asserting a recovery of severance pay of $5,000.00 and three weeks' accrued vacation pay of $3,750.00.
