GROVES, Justice.

The defendant has appealed from an adverse ruling in a Crim.P. 35(b) proceeding. We affirm.

The defendant and his wife were each charged with possession of heroin, both charges arising from the same transaction. They engaged the services of the same attorney and were to have separate trials. On the morning of the date set for both trials, the attorney requested leave of the court to withdraw as counsel for both the defendant and his wife....
