In October, 1971, the City of Hughes Springs, Texas, sued its former police chief, Hairl Price, to recover possession of and automobile, and for alternative relief. In an ancillary proceeding the City posted a bond authorized by Tex.R.Civ.P. 698 and caused a writ of sequestration to issue.
