This is a direct appeal from the defendants' convictions for kidnapping in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1201(a) and the denial of their motion for a new trial.

On January 9, 1973, Wilbur Streeter contacted James Goergen, an Austin, Minnesota, antique gun dealer, at his home and represented that he was the agent of a man in Potsdam, Minnesota, who desired to sell his gun collection...
