Appellant was charged by affidavit with the crime of forcible rape. He was tried by jury in the Washington Circuit Court before the Honorable Charles Ratts. On January 27, 1970, the jury returned a verdict of guilty as charged, and thereafter the Appellant was sentenced to imprisonment in the Indiana State Reformatory for a period of not less than two nor more than twenty one years and was ordered to pay the costs of the proceedings.
