Plaintiff, an employee of Valiant Manufacturing Corporation, a lightweight motorcycle manufacturer, was injured in an industrial accident at his employer's plant. In this suit he sought recovery of his damages against Allstate Insurance Company, as insurer of Valiant's executives; Hawk Tool and Engineering Company, from whom Valiant bought some of the motorcycle parts; and Hartford Accident and Indemnity Company, Hawk's insurer.
