The defendant, Robert Richard Bayliss, was charged with the false imprisonment and manslaughter of Raymond Yellow Thunder. He was found guilty by a jury on both counts, sentenced to a term of 4 years to the Division of Corrections of the State of Nebraska for the manslaughter conviction, and fined for the false imprisonment.
